Getting Started with Staykey Cleans

What is Staykey Cleans?

Staykey Cleans is turnover management built into the ProHost plan. It gives you confidence that every cleaning is handled — without chasing your cleaner for updates.

What's included

• Cleaning status tracking: Real-time status for every cleaning (Pending → Sent → Scheduled → In Progress → Completed)
• Cleaning company portal: Your cleaning companies get their own dashboard to view and manage jobs
• Crew dashboard: Individual cleaners access a simple, token-based view of today's assignments
• SMS & email notifications: Automatic reminders and confirmations for cleaners
• Back-to-back alerts: Tight turnovers are flagged with escalation options if cleaning isn't confirmed
• Automatic access: Cleaners get property access codes and device controls during their cleaning window

Prerequisites

• A ProHost subscription ($25/mo per property)
• At least one property set up in Staykey
• Your cleaning company's name, email, and phone number

Getting started

1. Invite your cleaning company

You can invite a cleaning company during onboarding (step 6) or anytime from your cleaning settings:

1. Go to Cleaning in the main menu
2. Click Add Cleaning Company
3. Enter the company name, contact email, and phone number
4. The company receives an invite with their portal link

2. Assign properties

After inviting a company, assign them to specific properties:

1. Open the cleaning company's settings
2. Select which properties they clean
3. Set priority if you have multiple companies for the same property

3. Cleanings are created automatically

When a stay is booked, Staykey schedules a cleaning for the checkout day. Two weeks before the stay, Staykey notifies the assigned cleaning company via SMS and email so they can confirm — or immediately, if the stay was booked inside that two-week window. You can also opt in to email/SMS notifications the moment a cleaning is marked complete.

4. Track status from your dashboard

Open the Cleaning section to see all cleanings across your properties. Each cleaning shows its current status, assigned company, and timing.
