A back-to-back turnover happens when one guest checks out and another checks in on the same day (or within a tight window). These are the highest-risk cleanings because there's limited time to clean and no room for delays.

How Staykey detects them

Staykey automatically analyzes your booking calendar and flags cleanings where:

• The checkout-to-checkin gap is less than a configurable threshold (typically 6 hours or less)
• The cleaning hasn't been confirmed by the assigned company

These cleanings appear with a visual indicator in your dashboard so you can spot them at a glance.

1. Set realistic cleaning windows — If your check-in is at 3 PM and checkout at 11 AM, you have 4 hours. Make sure your cleaner can finish in that time.
2. Use early checkout messaging — Include checkout time prominently in the guest portal.
3. Have a backup cleaner — Assign a secondary cleaning company to properties that frequently have back-to-backs.
