How to invite a co-host, property manager, or team member to your Staykey organization — roles, permissions, and what they can see.
Team collaboration is a ProHost feature. If you're on the Host plan, you'll need to upgrade to ProHost before you can invite members.
Once you're on ProHost, you can invite unlimited team members and assign each one a role that controls what they can see and do.
Typical reasons to add a member:
Note on cleaning companies: If you're inviting a cleaning company (not an individual team member), use the cleaning company portal flow instead. Cleaning companies don't consume team-member seats.
The invited member receives an email with a sign-up link. If they already have a Staykey account under that email, they'll be added to your organization automatically on their next login.
Staykey uses four roles, from most to least privileged:
| Role | Properties | Stays & Guests | Billing | Team |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | Full access | Full access | Full access | Invite / remove members |
| Manager | Full access | Full access | View only | Invite members (not Owners) |
| Member | Assigned properties only | Assigned properties only | No access | No access |
| Viewer | Read-only | Read-only | No access | No access |
A few notes:
For Member and Viewer roles, you can scope access to specific properties:
Manager and Owner roles always see all properties — that's part of what distinguishes them from Member.
The change takes effect immediately. If you're downgrading someone from Manager to Member, make sure you've also configured their property scope so they don't temporarily lose access to everything.
Removing a member revokes their access immediately. Any stays, links, or cleanings they created remain — ownership transfers back to the organization, not to the removed user.
All significant actions (creating stays, unlocking doors, changing settings) are logged with the acting user. You can review the activity log from the Activity menu. Useful when coordinating with a co-host or debugging "who changed this?"
Adding team members does not change your monthly bill. ProHost pricing is per-property, not per-seat — you pay the same whether you have 1 team member or 10.
