A tour of the stay page: the overview, the guest's link, live lock programming with Set Now and Retry, automation status, and the stay's own activity.
Every booking in Staykey has a stay page. It's where you check a guest's code, copy their link, fix a detail, and see what happened during the stay.
To open one, choose Stays in the sidebar and click a stay. Stays on your dashboard, entries in the activity feed, and the stays before and after a cleaning link to the same page.
The top of the page shows the guest's name, the stay's status (Active, Cancelled, or Completed), the property, and the dates.
The sidebar groups everything else:
Change a field and the edit waits in the pending changes panel instead of saving right away. Click Save on one change or Save all for everything, or Discard to drop it. When nothing is waiting, the panel says All changes saved.
Open Access → Access Code. The top card shows the Guest access code, with a status badge beside it. Type a new code or click Generate code, then save it.
When the property uses smart access, a button next to Generate code pushes the code to the locks. Its label depends on where things stand:
| Button | When you see it |
|---|---|
| Set Code | Programming was skipped, for example because no lock on the stay could hold a code |
| Set Now | The code is waiting to be programmed and the stay's code window starts today |
| Retry | Programming failed on one or more locks |
| Re-program | The code is already active; this pushes it again |
| Reprogram | The code was cleared or cancelled; this puts it back |
No button means there's nothing to push right now: the code is scheduled for a later day, or the stay is over.
If you've just edited the code, save it first. Until you do, the button is disabled and a note says Save the code first.
Below that, the Lock programming card shows the overall state:
The card also shows when the code is valid, a Refresh button, and a row for each lock with its own badge.
After you click Set Now, Retry, or another program button, the page follows along live. The code's badge and each affected lock show Programming… until the lock reports back, then change to Active or Failed. A failed lock shows the reason underneath and its own Retry button, so you can retry one lock without touching the others.
If programming takes more than a minute, the card shows Taking longer than usual — some locks are slow. and the waiting locks change to Still programming…. Nothing is wrong yet; some locks are slow to confirm. Click Refresh in a minute or two to check again.
If a lock keeps failing, see why didn't my door lock code work and device not responding.
More → Automations lists what Staykey did for this stay on its own, such as texting the guest their link or setting the thermostat. Each row says when it's scheduled for, when it was texted or set, or why it was skipped, failed, or cancelled. If nothing is set up, it says No automation activity yet.
For what each reason means, see texting guests their stay link and automating the thermostat for each stay.
