Forward Vrbo booking emails to Staykey to capture each guest's name, phone, and reservation ID, or connect the Vrbo calendar feed. Both import your bookings.
For Vrbo, email import is the one to set up first. Vrbo's calendar feed tells Staykey only the dates and the guest's first name. The booking email carries the reservation ID, the guest's full name, their phone number, and the financials, and it is the only way Staykey can text a Vrbo guest their stay link automatically.
[email protected] that forwards to that address. Include instant bookings, accepted requests, changes, and cancellationsProvider-by-provider steps (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud) are in setting up booking import.
The feed is re-checked hourly and your bookings import automatically.
| What you get | Vrbo email | Vrbo calendar feed |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | Yes | Yes |
| Guest name | Full name | First name only |
| Guest phone | Yes | No |
| Reservation ID | Yes | No |
| Financials | Yes | No |
| Cancellations and changes | Yes | Yes |
When both are connected, Staykey merges them into one stay per booking.
Vrbo's message templates cannot insert a reservation ID, so a template alone cannot build a per-stay link. With email import on, Staykey has the guest's phone number and can text them their stay link before check-in from the property's Automations settings. For stays that came in before you turned that on, paste the link from the stay page into the Vrbo conversation.
Forward the confirmation email for a booking that's still upcoming to your import address. Within a minute the stay should appear on the right property with the guest's full name, phone, and reservation ID.
