Calendar Sync Issues

If your bookings aren't syncing properly from your calendar or booking platform, try these solutions:

iCal Sync Issues

• Calendar URL: Verify the iCal feed URL is correct and accessible
• Feed Format: Ensure the calendar provider supports iCal format
• Authentication: Check if the calendar requires authentication (some private calendars do)
• Refresh Interval: iCal feeds sync every 15 minutes. Wait for the next sync cycle
• Manual Refresh: Try manually refreshing the calendar in Staykey settings

Email Forwarding Issues

• Email Setup: Verify email forwarding is properly configured in your booking platform
• Forwarding Address: Ensure emails are being forwarded to the correct Staykey email address
• Email Format: Check that booking confirmation emails are in the expected format
• Spam Filter: Verify forwarded emails aren't being caught by spam filters
• Email Parsing: Some booking platforms use different email formats. Contact support if parsing fails

Booking Not Appearing

• Date Range: Check that the booking dates are within the sync window
• Property Match: Verify the booking is associated with the correct property
• Duplicate Check: Ensure the booking isn't already in Staykey under a different name
• Sync Status: Check the sync status in Staykey to see if there are any errors

Stays Not Updating

• Calendar Changes: Changes to bookings may take up to 15 minutes to sync
• Manual Update: You can manually update stay dates and details in Staykey
• Access Codes: If stay dates change, access codes will automatically update
• Guest Links: Guest links remain valid as long as the stay is active

Staykey supports calendar sync from:

• Airbnb (via iCal or email forwarding)
• VRBO (via iCal or email forwarding)
• Booking.com (via iCal)
• Any platform that provides iCal feeds
