What is Staykey?

Staykey is a smart access and operations platform for short-term rental hosts and property managers. It automates guest access, turnover management, and property operations — with or without smart home devices.

• Calendar-aware stays: Import bookings via iCal from Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com to cut manual work.
• Turnover management (ProHost): Staykey Cleans tracks cleaning status from scheduled to complete, with cleaning company portals, crew dashboards, SMS notifications, and back-to-back turnover alerts.
• Secure, private smart home connection: The Staykey plugin connects your Home Assistant to Staykey via a secure outbound connection — no need to expose your hub to the internet, no port forwarding, no subscriptions.
• Local-first reliability: Smart access is powered by your Home Assistant hub, so device control stays responsive even without internet. Commands execute locally inside Home Assistant for minimal latency.
• Property-level defaults: Define which devices, instructions, and settings apply to every guest stay.

Two plans

• Host ($15/mo per property) — Smart access, guest portals, booking sync, device control, activity tracking.
• ProHost ($25/mo per property) — Everything in Host, plus Staykey Cleans (turnover management), multi-user org management, stay reports, and priority support.

How Staykey works

1. Create your account: Sign up and follow the guided onboarding wizard.
2. Add your property: Enter details and choose your access mode (Smart, Static, or None).
3. Import bookings: Sync your Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com calendar.
4. Share guest links: Staykey generates a unique, expiring link with codes and instructions for each stay.
5. Manage turnovers (ProHost): Cleaning companies receive automated notifications and manage their assignments through their own portal.
