Step-by-step for connecting Airbnb to Staykey so new bookings automatically create stays, access codes, and guest links.
Connecting Airbnb to Staykey is the step that makes everything else automatic. Once the calendar is connected, Staykey imports each new booking, creates a stay, generates a unique door code, and produces the guest link you paste into your Airbnb message template.
You only need to do this once per property.
You can use iCal import, email forwarding, or both. We recommend using both — iCal catches the booking quickly, email forwarding fills in the revenue and fee data that iCal doesn't expose.
Staykey will start importing bookings within a minute. The first sync pulls in any existing future bookings, and then checks for updates every 15 minutes.
Email forwarding captures booking data that the iCal feed doesn't expose — specifically guest name, payout, fees, and the Airbnb confirmation code.
Airbnb doesn't have a built-in "forward booking emails" toggle, so you forward from your own inbox:
[email protected] with the subject containing "Reservation confirmed"From here on, each new Airbnb reservation confirmation will be forwarded automatically. Staykey parses the email and fills in the booking data within a minute.
The fastest way to confirm everything is wired up:
If nothing appears, check the calendar sync troubleshooting guide.
From the iCal feed:
From email forwarding:
When both are connected, Staykey merges the data so you get the full picture without duplicate stays.
If the same physical property has multiple Airbnb listings (for example, one listing for the whole house and another for a single room), add both iCal feeds to the same property in Staykey. The calendars are merged, and Staykey prevents double-bookings from creating duplicate stays.
Once the calendar is connected:
