Troubleshooting Device Connections

If you're having trouble with devices not connecting or responding, try these solutions:

Device Not Appearing in Staykey

• Check Home Assistant: Verify the device is properly added in Home Assistant first
• Refresh Connection: In Staykey, go to Settings → Integrations and refresh your Home Assistant connection
• Device Type: Ensure the device type is supported (locks, thermostats, switches, covers)

Device Not Responding

• Power Check: Ensure the device is powered on and has battery (for battery-powered devices)
• Range Issues: Z-Wave devices need to be within range of the hub. Try moving the device closer
• Network Issues: Check your Home Assistant hub is online and accessible
• Re-pair Device: Try removing and re-adding the device in Home Assistant

Access Codes Not Working

• Code Limit: Some locks have a limit on the number of user codes. Check your lock's specifications
• Code Format: Ensure codes meet your lock's requirements (length, allowed characters)
• Sync Delay: Codes may take a few minutes to sync to the lock. Wait and try again
