The cleaner portal is open to everyone — including your own clients.

Two changes for cleaning companies: you no longer need a host's invite to get in, and your own private clients now live on the same board as your Staykey jobs. It's in beta, and it's open.

For most of its life, the cleaner portal did exactly one job: show a cleaning company the cleanings a Staykey host had created for them. You got in because a host invited you, and every stop on your board traced back to that host's calendar. Useful — but only for the part of your week that happened to be on Staykey.

Two things have changed, and together they make the portal something different.

You don't need an invite anymore

Any cleaning company can now sign up for Staykey directly, free. Create your account, name your company, and you're in — no host required, nothing to install.

If a host invites you later, that invite just connects their properties to the business you already run. Nothing gets set up twice, and it works in the other direction too: get invited first, sign up first, either way you land in the same portal.

Your own clients live here too

This is the bigger one. Your board is no longer limited to jobs a host handed you.

You can add your private clients — the houses and Airbnbs you clean outside Staykey — with their own rates, their recurring days, and how they pay you. Those jobs sit on the same day plan as your Staykey jobs, in the same order you'll actually drive them.

Each client gets a color and an icon you choose, so a glance down the day tells you whose work you're looking at.

One day plan, two kinds of work: turnovers from Staykey hosts and jobs for your own private clients — each client carrying the color and icon you picked for them. Checklist progress rides along, and access codes stop working when the job closes.

On the Clients page the same split shows up plainly: Connected through Staykey for the hosts you work with — where jobs, access codes, and payouts sync automatically — and Your private clients for everything you brought with you.

Checklists you write yourself

Build your own checklists in the portal: tasks grouped by room, an estimated time, and a photo requirement on any task where you want proof before it can be ticked off. Save as many templates as you need — a standard turnover, a deep clean, the one client who wants the grill done — and mark one as your default.

Your templates run on your private jobs. Staykey turnovers carry the host's own instructions automatically, so nobody ends up maintaining two versions of the same list.

What else is in there

Your whole team, with real accounts. Invite your cleaners and each one gets their own free login. Managers run the schedule, clients, and settings; crew members see the jobs assigned to them. Group people into crews and the day plan follows the route.

Access that handles itself. For Staykey host jobs, door codes and device controls appear for the cleaning window and revoke when the job closes — no lock codes living forever in a group chat.

Money you can see. Track what each client owes, keep billing organized by period, and watch the day's expected earnings on the Today board.

Progress you can see mid-job. Checklist progress rides on the stop card, so a manager glancing at the board knows how far along a job is without calling.

Statuses your hosts already see. Confirm, start, complete — hosts watch the same flow from their dashboard, which is how the "is it done yet?" text disappears.

It's a beta, and we'll say so

We've spent months rebuilding this portal with cleaners rather than for them, and it is good enough to run a real day on — but it's still a work in progress. Expect rough edges, expect it to change, and expect it to change faster if you tell us what's wrong with it.

That's the trade: it's free for cleaning companies, and we'd like your opinion while it's still soft enough to move.
